Party Invitations

A selection of invitations created for a friend’s yearly party held at the end of DragonCon (a fantasy/sci-fi/everything convention held in Atlanta). Each year, a theme is picked based on whatever is currently popular, and I create a fun interactive invitation based on that theme.

In 2017, I created invites using a red reveal effect. The message is hidden behind an array of classic and current video game icons.

For 2018, I put together “decoder ring” style invites based on the maze from HBO’s Westworld. I put 100 of these together in my apartment, including creating the blood splatter effect on all of the envelopes. The paper wheels were plotter cut for me by a close friend.

For 2019 I created a series of scratch off cards featuring some of the biggest franchises of the year. Depending on what the card revealed, the guest received a prize. For these I used scratch off stickers and Moo’s printfinity postcards to make the concept work.
